TUNG HEALTH PRIVACY POLICY

Tung Health (“TungScan”, “Lumi”, “Lumi Ai”, “Tung,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides AI-powered wellness insights based on structured analysis of tongue images. We are committed to protecting your privacy through transparency, security, and responsible data use.

By using the Tung Health mobile application, website, and related services (the “App”), you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Personal Information You Provide

We may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number (if used for sign-in)

  • Account preferences

  • Subscription and purchase history

We do not collect government ID numbers or sensitive identity documents.

1.2 Tongue Images & Scan Data

When you submit a scan, we may collect and securely store:

  • Tongue photographs (unless image storage is disabled by you)

  • Extracted image features used for structured analysis

  • Deterministic scan metrics and subscores

  • Derived wellness indicators (hydration, stress, coating levels, etc.)

  • Organ-zone mappings

  • L.U.M.I. insights and personalized wellness plans

  • A non-biometric internal consistency marker used solely to maintain scan continuity (not for identity recognition)

Important:

  • Tongue images are NOT used for biometric identification.

  • We do not perform facial recognition.

  • Tongue data is used exclusively for wellness analysis and trend tracking.

  • Users may disable image storage at any time within the App.

If image storage is disabled:

  • Images are processed securely for analysis

  • Only extracted structured scan metrics are retained

  • The raw image file is not saved

1.3 Device & Technical Information

We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate and improve the App, including:

  • Device model

  • Operating system

  • App version

  • Time zone

  • Error logs and diagnostic data

This information is used solely for performance, security, and stability.

1.4 Usage & Engagement Data

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 Core Functionality

2.2 Product Improvement & Model Enhancement

We may use de-identified and aggregated scan data, including stored tongue images (if image storage is enabled), to:

  • Improve scoring consistency

  • Improve AI performance

  • Improve segmentation and lighting normalization

  • Improve trend accuracy

  • Enhance overall wellness insight precision

This data:

  • Is not sold

  • Is not used for identity recognition

  • Is not used for advertising profiling

  • Is processed securely and, where possible, in aggregated form

You may manage notification preferences in settings.

2.4 Payments

We use third-party processors (Apple, Google, Stripe) to manage payments. We do not receive full credit card information.

3.1Third-Party AI Services Tung Health™ uses a two-step AI process: 1. Image Quality Verification (Google AI): When you capture a scan, your tongue image is briefly transmitted to Google AI (Gemini) to verify that the photo contains a valid tongue suitable for analysis. This is an image quality check only — not a wellness assessment. 2. Wellness Narrative Generation (Google AI): Once verified, the image and your pre-computed on-device wellness scores are sent to Google AI (Gemini) to generate descriptive wellness narratives explaining your results in plain language. In both steps: • Google processes images in real-time and does not retain, store, or use them for model training. • No personally identifiable information is transmitted alongside the image. • Google does not share your images with any third parties. Wellness scores (hydration, stress, gut balance, and all other metrics) are computed entirely on your device using Tung Health's proprietary deterministic scoring engine. Google AI does not calculate, influence, or modify any wellness scores. It generates descriptive text based on the scores your device has already computed.

4. DATA RETENTION

We retain data as long as necessary to provide services.

  • Active accounts: retained until user deletion

  • Inactive accounts: may be periodically purged

  • Users may delete:

    • Individual scans

    • All stored images

    • Full scan history

    • Entire account

5. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Tung Health is not intended for independent use by children under 13. Parents may create family profiles.

6. SECURITY

We use encrypted transmission, secure storage, role-based access controls, and monitoring to protect data.

Users may request:

Tung Health uses AI to generate wellness insights based on structured pattern analysis. These insights are not medical diagnoses and should not replace professional medical advice.

9.1 Tung Health™ uses a two-step AI process:

1. On-Device Scoring (No AI): When you capture a tongue image, wellness scores for hydration, stress, gut balance, and six additional categories are computed entirely on your device using a deterministic scoring engine. No AI is involved in scoring. No data leaves your device during this step.

2. AI Verification & Narratives (Google AI): Your tongue image is briefly transmitted to Google AI (Gemini) for two purposes: (a) verifying the captured photo contains a valid tongue suitable for analysis, and (b) generating descriptive wellness narratives that explain your pre-computed scores in plain language. Google processes the image in real-time, does not store it, does not use it for AI model training, and does not share it with third parties.
